You need to check out two local places in Southwest Mpls and Richfield. Tailgate Sports Cafe on 60th and Nicollet Ave So is about as awesome as a privately owned sports bar can get. Their bar food is top knotch and they have great food and drink happy hours – plus Monday night is ‘Wing Night” – they have fantastic chicken wings (rivals BWW for sure). Next is Sandy’s Tavern off 66th and Penn Ave So in Richfield. A literal “mom and pop” place that features fantastic burgers and great service. They show every Wild game and pour dirt cheap tap beer when the Wild score a goal – and they have Trivia on Monday nights. The food is really the star of the show at both of these places BUT they both could use a little bit more exposure (especially Sandy’s). Hopefully you might consider them.
Thanks Annie! We’ve consistently gone to more North Metro places, but we’d consider those two! Is there seating on a Wednesday night (7:30pm) for 50-100 people?

Sandy’s is tiny – 50 people would fill the place to capacity. Tailgate could seat that many people, but if they’re busy, it would be a stretch.
